La Maison du Vin

The House of the Wine

How can we celebrate France without wine?

Le Taste of France Show will have a tent dedicated to wines from France called La Maison du Vin. There, sommeliers and wine merchants will host wine tasting seminars and tastings.

For our guests’ enjoyment, a skilled wine barrel making craftsman will build barrels throughout the day while talking through the different steps of construction.

André COMPEYERE, official chef sommelier

This year, Benoit’s Chef Sommelier André Compeyre will serve as the official chef sommelier of Le Taste of France Show NY 2012. Andre joined the Benoit team in 2011 where he has created a secrets de cave reserve list which features a selection of rare Burgundy and California wines, not often found on small French bistro wine lists. Additionally, Compeyre has also introduced the NAPA Technology system which allows him to serve wines by the ounce from such fames producers including Petrus and Chateau Y’Quem.
